Stream live video from your mobile

This is pretty cool!  Stream live video directly from your mobile device.  There are new services, such as, qik, which leverages your "in-phone" video camera, to stream live video to your friends, families, or maybe even fans.  After downloading the application to your phone, you simply enable the app, then go live.

Here's a qik video I just took from our office of Toronto's skyline...

They support alot of phones to-date, including, many blackberry versions, iphone & Nokia.  With technology like qik, users can now broadcast at a moments notice.  I attempted going live at a concert recently (which would be an obvious application for qik).  The sound and quality we're pretty good, considering the limited light in a room.

At Batipi, we offer marketing webcasts, which is ideal for broadcasting high quality video from a conference, or keynote address.  In most cases we're focused on the speaker at hand, however, combined with applications like qik, users at a conference, for example, could be giving their own live version, from the ground floor.

Broadcasting live video from your mobile, seems to have alot of applications, what's yours?
